What is my face shape? Free AI face shape finder
FaceRating maps 478 landmarks onto your photo and classifies your face shape from the resulting proportions - then shows you the numbers that produced the label, so you can check the answer instead of guessing at it.
What this test measures
Your face shape
One of six categories - oval, round, square, heart, diamond or oblong - chosen from your width-to-height ratio, jaw width and cheekbone position.
What the same scan also measures
One scan returns all of these. You do not need a separate tool for each one.
- Facial symmetry
How closely your left and right halves mirror each other, landmark by landmark.
- Facial thirds
Where your hairline, nose and chin fall against three equal bands.
- Golden ratio
How close your proportions track the constant phi (1.618).
- Jaw taper
The width of your jaw measured against your cheekbones.
- Eye spacing
The distance between your eye centres relative to face width.
Questions about this test
How do I know my face shape without an app?
Compare your jaw width to your cheekbones, then your face length to its width. Wide jaw and wide forehead reads square; a narrow chin with wider cheekbones reads heart. The AI label uses the same proportions plus landmark measurements.
Does my face shape change if I gain or lose weight?
Somewhat. The jaw-to-cheekbone relationship shifts with weight and age, which can move a face between categories - usually toward round or square. Your bone structure underneath does not change, which is why the label is a snapshot rather than a permanent identity.
